There is scarcely a job with a higher level of importance than being a lawyer. Diligently representing the interests of your client is vital and thus society puts a high level of stress on maintaining the quality and knowledge of attorneys. State and local Bar Associations require regular continuing education in order to retain licenses.
THEY improv is a leader in providing workshops for Fortune 500 and other companies. This has included working with many law firms for their team building needs. Recognizing the need to redefine training programs for attorneys, THEY improv began developing a variety of new approaches to the concept of developing the professionalism of members of the Bar.
MClE and Workshops. We have developed a variety of programs that advance the cause of developing talent for law firms. This can include basic elements such as conducting interviews and communication classes, or can be much more nuanced for even the most seasoned professional such as jury science and analyzing the human brain. With advanced notice, we can work with a firm to submit summaries of the workshop for approval for obtaining credit for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education. All of this is done in an environment of humor, helping turn the chore of continuing education into a benefit firms can offer to their Associates and can have the added benefit of bonding the staff.
Role Playing. There are many times that attorneys can run headlong into a situation that they are ill-prepared for. This is usually due to a lack of preparation or foresight. THEY improv has seasoned actors with the ability to play the roles of various elements of jury selection, reading transcripts to provide more of the human element, take on the characters of a mock trial, play the members of a class action to help with group dynamics or provide brainstorming sessions to test reactions to proposed strategies.
Entertainment. Likewise, being a legal professional is extremely stressful. Much of what we do for other industries involves entertainment. So if you are simply looking to improve performance by helping staff blow off some steam or to celebrate a success, contact us to find out about our improv comedy, game shows and murder mysteries.
We understand the need for confidentiality and review all such agreements to ensure a level of secrecy to maintain your relationship with your clients. We will usually not take control of work product and rather not take any material off-location to help ensure our relationships with our clients. Simply ask us for more information about how far we will go to protect our clients.
Whether for Appellate, Business, Civil, Constitutional, Criminal, Entertainment, Family (including Trusts, Estates, Divorce, Elder and Juvenile), Intellectual Property, Medical, Military, Securities or Tax Law, or any of the other branches, we either already have a program that can assist practitioners or can develop a special program to improve performance.
Locations. We have people already in most major cities around the country or can make arrangements if needed. This includes the top cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte and practically anywhere else you can imagine. We also have access to Canada, Mexico and the islands of the Caribbean if you would like to conduct something while at a retreat. Simply contact us to find out how we can help you.
