MCLE AND WORKSHOPS
We have developed a variety of programs that advance the cause of developing talent for law firms. This can include basic elements such as conducting interviews and communication classes, or can be much more nuanced for even the most seasoned professional such as jury science and analyzing the human brain. With advanced notice, we can work with a firm to submit summaries of the workshop for approval for obtaining credit for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education. All of this is done in an environment of humor, helping turn the chore of continuing education into a benefit firms can offer to their Associates and can have the added benefit of bonding the staff

SKILLS TRAINING

There are a lot of things that they teach in law school, but there are also a lot of things that they don't focus on. We call these the soft skills. We have training programs to work on the soft skills as well as other aspects of being an attorney that can help in unique ways because we come from a different perspective.

PRESENTATION SKILLS

The ability to make successful presentations is key to being a top-notch lawyer. Just some aspects of presentation skills include the ideas of STATUS and exuding AUTHORITY, ORATORY skills for OPENING and CLOSING ARGUMENTS, and MEDIA TRAINING to enable the controlling of a public narrative. We have approaches to help all of these areas.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

Running a law office, which is almost always filled with Alpha Types who don't seek permission and can feel that they know the answers before a question is asked, is truly a challenge. Our training helps get others to recognize your authority while inspiring them to greater success. These enable you to expect them to follow your lead.

THE BRAIN

Understanding how the brain operates can help you to understand the decision process of others, predict their behavior and response to questions, and enable you to guide them to where you want them to be and to say what you want them to say. Elements of this include Emotional Intelligence, Empathy, and Mental Manipulation.

WITNESS PREP

Preparing a witness is a multi-faceted process. While you may know what you should or should not do on the stand or during a deposition, your clients and your witnesses often do not. It isn't about your knowledge, it is understanding how to teach that is important. We help prepare you for this process.

JURY SCIENCE

We will not pretend that Jury Science is a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination. That said, understanding how jurors think and how their backgrounds can influence the choices that they make and how they might help change the minds of others during deliborations can make all the difference when it comes to the final verdict.

Role Playing. There are many times that attorneys can run headlong into a situation that they are ill-prepared for. This is usually due to a lack of preparation or foresight. THEY improv has seasoned actors with the ability to play the roles of various elements of jury selection, reading transcripts to provide more of the human element, take on the characters of a mock trial, play the members of a class action to help with group dynamics or provide brainstorming sessions to test reactions to proposed strategies.

Entertainment. Likewise, being a legal professional is extremely stressful. Much of what we do for other industries involves entertainment. We will usually not take control of work product and rather not take any material off-location to help ensure our relationships with our clients.
