Unless that is part of a strategy, of course. Regardless, having the knowledge of how to utilize and manipulate status can be the key to success.

Just some aspects of presentation skills include the ideas of STATUS and exuding AUTHORITY, ORATORY skills for OPENING and CLOSING ARGUMENTS, and MEDIA TRAINING to enable the controlling of a public narrative. ORATORY - OPENING AND CLOSING ARGUMENTS

For litigation attorneys, the ability to present in front of jurors is key to success. This is all about the ability to relate information, be confident, be clear and succinct, and to exude the essence of being righteous in what you are letting the others know. Simply put, present as if you completely believe in the innocence of your client. We can help with speeches to make that happen.

MEDIA TRAINING

The world has changed. More and more, major cases are decided with some amount of influence by media coverage. The ability to control the narrative in public without violating court orders can be the key to a successful effort at winning the battle in court as well as helping your client after the case is over in the world of public opinion. Media manipulation can also make or break careers.

USING STATUS

A lot of the maneuvers in a courtroom, during a deposition, and certainly during negotiations, is about status. Lawyers learn over years of experience about the advantage gained by simply presenting oneself as if they are in a stronger position than they actually are. This is all about skills every actor knows and that we can teach. It is a soft-skill that is often neglected.

FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING
Knowing how your physical appearance, actions and position will be consciously and subconsciously perceived can empower you to deal with any number of situations that can arise. Controlling these elements can allow you to influence juries, affect the confidence of opposing counsel and lead to directed verdicts. Simply put, it allows you to act from a position of strength or to bolster a false sense of confidence in an opponent in a weak position. It helps with negotiations and can lead to revelations that would otherwise remain hidden. And, from the other side, being able to perceive the position of opposing counsel or understanding how they are trying to manipulate through their actions can strengthen your own position.

This workshop is designed to enhance the participant's knowledge and understanding of the way that a variety of things are perceived through a variety of exercises and games. This allows for direct participation and enhanced learning in a fun environment. After all, if the participants are more engaged in the activities, they are more likely to retain and utilize the information.

JURY SCIENCE

We will not pretend that Jury Science is a guarantee by any stretch of the imagination. That said, understanding how jurors think and how their backgrounds can influence the choices that they make and how they might help change the minds of others during deliborations can make all the difference when it comes to the final verdict.

THE BRAIN

Understanding how the brain operates can help you to understand the decision process of others, predict their behavior and response to questions, and enable you to guide them to where you want them to be and to say what you want them to say. Elements of this include Emotional Intelligence, Empathy, and Mental Manipulation.

WITNESS PREP

Preparing a witness is a multi-faceted process. While you may know what you should or should not do on the stand or during a deposition, your clients and your witnesses often do not. It isn't about your knowledge, it is understanding how to teach that is important. We help prepare you for this process.

MCLE AND WORKSHOPS
We have developed a variety of programs that advance the cause of developing talent for law firms. This can include basic elements such as conducting interviews and communication classes, or can be much more nuanced for even the most seasoned professional such as jury science and analyzing the human brain.
